Crash during podcast download on iTunes?
For whatever reason, my Vista laptop frequently crashes when downloading podcasts via iTunes. That’s annoying but what’s even more annoying is that those partially downloaded podcasts are inaccessible. It won’t continue downloading them reporting err -39.
This has been going on for months. But I finally found the solution. iTunes stores partially downloaded podcasts inside it’s library folder hierarchy in a folder called “Downloads”. In my case it’s here:
c:\users\karim\Music\iTunes\Downloads\Podcasts
Delete the erroring podcast (a folder that has the name of the podcast followed by a “.tmp”).
